Who writes the guidesMeet our editors
Three people write and edit everything on Golf Launch Monitors. The work is reading: exact listings, spec sheets, manuals, app and subscription pages, warranty terms and a great many owner reviews. We line monitors up side by side, sort measured numbers from calculated ones and update the rankings when prices or models change. We haven't hit shots with these monitors for the site, and no guide pretends we have. Every guide names the person who wrote it and the person who edited it.

Senior editor
Hannah is the senior editor of Golf Launch Monitors. She decides which monitors make the rankings and edits most of the guides. Her habit: before she reads a single feature bullet, she works out which numbers a unit actually measures, which ones it calculates, and which ones only appear once you pay for the app subscription.
- Choosing a first launch monitor
- Radar vs. camera units
- Measured vs. calculated numbers
- Subscriptions and what the base price leaves out
- Keeping the rankings current

Home simulator writer
Mitchell writes about turning a garage, basement or spare room into a place to hit balls: ceiling height, room depth, screens, enclosures, mats and the software that ties it together. He keeps the room figures from every manual in one spreadsheet, and he checks whether the simulator app a listing shows is included, sold separately or tied to one platform.
- Room size: ceiling, depth and width
- Screens, enclosures and hitting mats
- Simulator software and device compatibility
- Alignment and setup routines
- What ships in the box

Range & data editor
Corinne edits the specs and writes the guides on outdoor sessions, ball flight conditions and practice data. She's the one who asks whether a carry number was normalized for temperature and altitude, and which ball it assumed. She also reads the warranty and support pages, because a monitor nobody will service is an expensive paperweight.

- Carry, temperature, altitude and ball type
- Reading spin and launch numbers
- Turning practice data into decisions
